I have no affiliation, just thought I'd post up since I had no idea Home Depot carried these. Reviews on the home depot website seem positive, and these fridges look similar to the Edgestars that typically get pretty good reviews. I had a couple small gift cards from christmas so I figured what the hell and ordered the 45 qt, will post up when it comes in.

    Thanks Nick!
Traction, articulation, and gearing make a good off-road rig. Just a tall lift, big mud tires, winch, and a light bar simply do not.
Why buy a Wrangler if you don't take the top and doors off?

Whynter is the same as edgestar. They used to just be a less optioned model but the recent ones seem to be the same. Whynter never used to come with the internal baskets but I think they are included now. The temp control panel wasn't as nice either and I don't think they had fast freeze, but again, I think that has all changed. The last few I've seen have all included everything and have been the same as edgestar. There are some places to buy Home Depot gift cards online at a discount, potentially taking a few more dollars off the price, especially on a bigger ticket item like this.

So, the 45qt Whynter at Home Depot is listed at $431.

Buy gift cards for 9% off here: https://www.cardcash.com/advanced-se...ord=home+depot

Get a $5 off $50 coupon by signing up (and then canceling) your email here: http://pages.homedepot.com/Orange?cm...FBQUFM&cj=true

And your total price comes to about $388.

Otherwise, Compact Appliance or Living Direct (same company) has the Edgestar 43qt fridge for $470ish. If you apply the coupon GIFT10 it brings it down to $431, the same as Home Depot.

The $431 price is about what these go for at rock bottom. The best I've paid was $409 and the best I've ever seen was $403. The $388 deal is the newest low, but it comes with the hassle of having to buy gift cards from another site.

Came in today, so far so good! It's nice and quiet, heavier and bigger than I thought. Definitely glad I went with the 45 and not any bigger.

Nice, good looking unit. Ya the 45 will be plenty for most trips. I bought a 40 Qt power cooler for the Trans NH and over 4 days I barely used half of what I brought, if anything I was having a hard time finding things in it! Its a great size for occasional usage.

Down to $390 shipped right now for Edgestar 43qt. Coupons don't seem to work to get it discounted any further.

Edit: Click on this link first to activate the coupon. It will take you to a Keurig. After the page loads, click the fridge link below or just refresh the fridge page/tab to update the price.
