Default Friday the 13th Henniker Scouting Mission

Thanks to Tundra, Chris and Doug for coming out in the rain, which was pretty constant. Though much more enjoyable than the onslaught of mosquitos. I figured if we couldn't strap or winch Tundra out of that muddy rock garden, we could air lift him out with the skeeters. Darn bloodsuckers were ruthless…but no matter. Just another obstacle. :)

We had a great run, made possible by some awesome folks and excellent terrain. The ATV trail we got permission to run ended up being a highlight. Very much recommend that. Muddy rock gardens galore!!!

    Enough yammering…how about some photos!

    …and what's a run without VIDEOS!!!

Do people prefer a very cut down video showing just highlights, or a longer video showing details?

Sorry in advance about the camera angles not being completely flat - one of these days I'll remember to bring my level... having no display on the GoPro is kind of annoying.

    43s teaser:

A few photos from the cell phone:

Either the "stuck trail" has gotten a lot worse in the past 5 years since I accidently stumbled upon it, or you guys made different turns out there than I did. That looks like a fun one!

I was hoping to see some creepy full-moon-on-Friday-the-13th photos at the old school house!

I took one Matt but it was blurry. Not used to my old dig cam and my phone was busy navigating. I can give you coordinates for the stuck trail if you want.

Tundra, I vote for full video!! Relive the full moment.

Tundras first recovery so nobody taught him not to drive over the strap. Great pics and videos. Thanks for sharing.

Lol Paul, I was just about to tell him "stop" before he ran it over but I could tell he was bent on getting out of that garden as quick as possible. Use that momentum!

This was one of the best runs I've done so far with the JK. It had a little of everything.
Thanks to Steve and Tundra for a great day through all the rain and mosquitoes.

I knew I did something wrong, but I thought it was before the strap came out... I sit corrected!

Actually, when I saw it on Steve's video I thought... oops!

Very true - we pretty much all have to rely on others to get action pics/video of ourselves.

Full stuck and strap recovery from the cab POV.

Going over the video to edit/prep does perhaps give me a better chance to review the mistakes I made. Perhaps.

Great job editing the video. I like the link to the other POV. I want to go back and try your line on those two rocks. I went to sleep thinking about it the past two nights. Things look much less daunting in the photos than when you're about to lead other people over them. LOL I want to try Chris' line on the first ledge we did too. Though I doubt I can manage much of a straight on line at the first ledge without bottoming out, I'm curious none the less.

Eagerly awaiting Doug and Chris' footage!
