Default Pictures and videos for the "Last minute casual Snow Run"

Had a great time today! Thanks everyone for your patience while I winched up the ice run, and Ryan and Shawn for running the winch line, but mostly for getting me out there for the first time this winter. I was having too much fun to stop and take any pictures, but I did see a camera in Jeff's hands, so I hope he posts up some shots.

Today was an awesome day thank you 004Runner, Rubicon, Ryan, MassMopar and KJintheFJ for showing up today.
It turned out to be great conditions with just enough snow and ice to keep it interesting and challenging. I was very impressed with the Excursion it handled everything awesome even with it's massive size and being open open.
We had the opportunity to clear a couple downed trees which was nice thank you Dave and Shawn for bringing the chain saws.
I did get some pics and video and Shawn did as well. I'll get them all uploaded to the PC tomorrow and post them up.
Thanks again everyone for the great day and I can't wait till next time

So stay tuned for the next post that will explain what happened when you combine a 4-ton 1-ton on 37's out in the woods, a guy in a stock Cherokee, an owner of a new FJC driving her TJ, a man that talks about sheep an awful lot, with a member named Rubicon...without a Rubicon....that has never been to the Rubicon

Great pics and post Shawn. I just hurt my back laughing at the CHEROKEE and not the blue one. Lol I cannot wait to get back out there thanks for thinking of me and for including me in your day. Next time Dave will have to learn to setup face time so I can be a copilot the whole time.

You think the ice will hold a 6.8L V10, with only 150 pounds(1/2 tank) of fuel in it, across this rocky stream crossing?

Just some guy offered to drive it. Ryan was towing it behind the Ford, just in case we needed it ;)
Traction, articulation, and gearing make a good off-road rig. Just a big lift, wide mud tires, and a winch simply do not.
    ~Shawn(the correct spelling ;)
