    Default ~Get your “fix in” before 2014 run!~ (12/29/2013) - PHOTOS

So I wasn't wheeling with the group today but I took Addison for a ride today to see the group at the meeting location. It was great to see the group, many who I have never seen before. I like seeing new faces and meeting new people. Here are some pics that I took of the meeting location. Hope they have a great run and take lots of pictures.

Fresh off the lot and straight to the trails:

Did you guys break any new tracks in the snow or was it all already packed down from scouting? How much snow on the ground? Any tricky spots, or was it uneventful?

There was some spotting some tugs, and a good amount of slipping around. Nothing major though. I was towards the rear for most of the day so it was all packed in when I got there, I think most of the roads had a bank to jam through, but someone from up front would know better.

Most of the trails were all previously run with a frozen tire path you'd fall into. Snow was packed and not that soft. With the warmer temps we have had, there was a lot of choppy iced ruts you could tell were solid smooth ice weeks ago. After doing some research about snow wheeling, I chose to go in an uphill direction more then downhill and that felt a lot more controlled. 50% of all the entry points had gient mounds of snow clearly saying "we'd perfer if you didn't use the road". So we had to blow through those to access the class VI. And we only saw a couple snowmobiles. A different experience for sure with the ice and hidden ruts.

My buddy Conal's (HoneyBadger) girlfriend uploaded a good amount of videos to Facebook. I'm gonna try and share to the thread.

Thanks again everyone for the kudos! :)
