Here are a few pics. I will update as I take more and more is done.
This is what it looked like when I first got it home.

There are with a set of 31's. I wanted to see what I had for clearance before I put in a BL

These are with a 2" BL and the 31's

These are of the body work as it went along. The front fenders I started to repair then I got lucky and replaced with some NICE rust free used fenders I found for $60.00 for both.
The bed I didn't get real fussy with as it is so rusted I know it's going to have to be replaced at some time with a flat bed or if I'm lucky enough to find a replacement bed in good shape.
I used the brown rustoleum paint that says it stops rust. You have to wait 5 days for it to set up before putting anything over it. Then I put a coat of white primer over that. The white primer is to make it easier for me to see if I miss any spots when I coat it with bedliner.

    There will be more soon

    TY.
LOL I'm not really that good. Actually I hate doing body work. I just do it when I have to.
I'm not going to pay someone else to do something I can do myself is the only reason I do it.
Like I said the bed is pretty shot. As you can see on the side shots I gave up with that body line **** trying to get it to match the cab. LOl

I just picked up ANOTHER yota pu. I got an 84 straight axle Saturday. It's got the body style of the 86-89 tho. The frame on that is toast. REAL BAD. Just about broke behind the cab. That will be for parts. Power steering is going in my 81. Now I have 5 in my yard. LOL

    1 is my 4runner
1 is my 81 that I'm doing now
1 is the white 88 that I just put the v6 into Daves 89 4runner. Rest is going for parts. The cab is REAL bad.
1 is an 88 4cyl. chopped up and for parts only. Does run nice tho just the cab is cut up.
1 is the 84 x-cab I just got. Frame is REAL BADDDDDDDDD
I could put the cab from the 84 onto the 88 frame and put the straight axle up front and that 4cyl from the 88 into it. But thats alot of time. Wiring harness and all would have to be changed. As the 84 is carb. and the 88 is efi Would never get back what I'd have into it.

Lookin good nice job with the body work! How far do you plan to go with the buildup?

I hate body work. It all depends on how much patience you have. My fiberglass bed scraped against a tree and had some tears down the side - I spent 3 days morning to dark fixing it. It tested my patience, never again! :x I hate body work.
