HOWTO: Embed Youtube Videos.
Posters need to embed the youtube video's,as you are responsible for anything that is on the page you link up to otherwise.
Stole this from the Corvette forum, just change yt to youtube and it will work as designed.
This is a HOWTO designed specifically for the CorvetteForum Help Section on how to properly embed a flash video from YouTube in your posts and threads.
Step 1: Find the video you wish to embed. For this one, I've chosen WOEII's RaceRock video he recently posted in the Off Topic Section:
Step 2: Look at the URL on the YouTube page which should look something similar to this:
Step 3: Either start a new thread, or click reply on an existing one and then copy the text following the http://www.youtube.com/watch?v= which will look something along the lines of this into the new page that comes up:
Step 4: Paste the text into your post and then place the forum YT Code around it which will look like this:
Note: The leading part of the YT code will look like this: and the trailing part of the code will look like this: so the final product looks like this:
It's not unlike HTML where you have to “open” and “close” your code so the forum software knows what to do with it.
Step 5: Click submit on the bottom of the page, and your post should look something like this:
It's the same way
Example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qm2rWx0zcvM
Insert the info after the = from the web address such as qm2rWx0zcvM between these tags place it in here [/ youtube]
embedding is alittle more time consuming then coping and pasteing but is easier so folks don't have to open another window..took me several trys before getting it myself.

Yeah it was my first time and I was trying different things. I tried it the way Chris showed but it did not work?? Then I realized that he had a space after the "back-slash" that was not supposed to be there. So I took it out and it worked! So I just deleted the mess here and posted it up under the thread that I wanted it to be under anyways because I did not want to make the mess there.
Thanks for the tip though.
............but only use the numbers and letters after the equal sign(=), such as: ere5Wav559Q
.............then put on both side of it so it will look like this: youtube]ere5Wav559Q[/youtube
is typed just as I have there so type it exactly like this: but....
I took the [ (left side) and the ] (right side) off the ends just to show you what it looks like because if you include them it will try and show the video but not what I typed, so you would not be able to see it. But when you put the [ and ] back on the ends(outsides) of: youtube]ere5Wav559Q[/youtube you get:
I hope this helps you Jason
