2stroke huh.......there was a 70'sdr 125 on craigslist awhile ago. a brat/cafe style bike would be a b/a build!

I've got most of the pieces from an early 70s Yamaha RD200 that I was going to build into a vintage road racer. I'd let it go cheap.

Major score tnite!!!  I just scored a FatBob and a Peanut tank for $30!!!!!!!!  So now i have a regular large capacity sporty tank,a fatbob tank,a peanut tank,and the stock tank. I'll take some pics with each tomorrow.

LOL lets keep this thread build or build related! Ok here are some pics of the pics with the diffrent tanks I have. Note two of the tanks look high because the dont clear the backbone yet and two sit fine.

im building a metric bobber too, my bikes a shaft job tho.. but hey it was free!, its a 1981 gl500 silverwing interstate, i still have to figure out how much oil to put in it( half drained when i got it.. the rest poored out in the bed of my truck

Most Hondas have the oil amount (in CCs) cast into the cases right near the fill hole.

bad ass, i love the fat tires! im not a huge fan of squar tanks.. altough anything hand built is appreciated. i may fab up half of my tank the bottom section was rotted out so i cut it off and thats how she sits for the moment

That thing is sexy!! The yamaha gs motor is a great motor to build around!!
