    Default New from Merrimack

    Hello all!

I just finished fixing up a 99 TJ SE with my son over the summer as his first car! It's bone stock right now, but it took a lot of rust busting and catching up on "deferred maintenance" to get it there.

It's obviously not much of a wheeling rig, but we're hoping to go find some Class 6 roads and at least get it dirty.

    Welcome to ENH!

My 99 TJ was also my first vehicle (on-road and off-road). My Father and I also put a ton of work into it together! You'll be surprised what it can do stock.

Looking forward to catching up on the trails!

Oh absolutely, I'm not about to go out there and tear up trails and cause damage. I will be taking the TreadLightly course, and hope to join in one of the stock newbie runs next year.

I just meant dirty as in taking it off pavement.

    Cool

    Hello and welcome!
I agree with Mitch, in that you will be very surprised what it will do as it is. Just air down and disconnect the sway bars ;)
1999 was the year of my first Wrangler as well :)
    Enjoy!!
Traction, articulation, and gearing make a good off-road rig. Just a big lift, wide mud tires, and a winch simply do not ;)
