    Nice pics Paul.
On the pond theme, Goose Pond, from Goose Pond Road in Canaan, just south of the boat launch. I assume you are looking for kayaking locations, so I will say there is a reasonable amount of parking available at that launch.

Wow, some beautiful spring shots, guys!

I grabbed a couple less nature-y shots from Maine.

Awesome shots, you guys! I have yet to see a red fox in New England! (We had some living in a neighbor's yard in Colorado) Also, where is that waterfall hike? (Can it be done with a 3 year old on my back?)

Here are some shots I grabbed from the cabin yesterday.

I thought shadows from the trees were kind neat:

I thought seeing the bottom of the lake and the reflection of the clouds was neat too:

The dog and I were the only ones enjoying a quick campfire yesterday morning:

One more of the lake... probably boring for you guys but I can't seem to get enough of it out there.

Those red foxes are all over the place around here.
And the lake shots aren't boring, I love them. I drive my daughter crazy "it's just more water" lol

New Hampshire was showing out today, as we say. Washington was blazing in glory, with 10-18" of fresh snow above 4,000', and bright sunshine.

Great lake pics, not boring at all. The hike is in the White Mountain National Forest, Heart's Location NH, about 30 minutes north on RT302 from North Conway. The hike is about 1.7 miles to the falls from the parking lot with about 800 FT. of elevation change. It's a well traveled trail, you could probably do it with a three year old on your back, saw someone out there this past weekend with a younger child. Although the trail is very slippery now, has a slushy snow pack on it. Most of the down hills we were just about skiing down in our boots.

Address to parking lot: Arethusa Falls Rd, Hart's Location, NH 03812

    Default Powder Mill Pond

Susan and I made it out to Powder Mill Pond. Putting in at the boat launch in Greenfield NH. The first two shots are us on the Coontoocook River, which feeds into the pond. The last is our parking spot at the boat launch. We played a tiny bit in the southern portion of the pond itself but the winds were wicked, even causing the waves to crest a tiny tiny bit. (Googling says that that is at 8-12 mph.)

Overall we paddled about 5.5 miles at an average speed of 1.75mph (we're both slow and we stop a lot to look at things...)

Took a bunch of random pics today whilst touring the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. East of Island Pond, in Bloomfield, at the Silvio O Conte National Wildlife Refuge. Loaded with open dirt roads, nothing difficult unless it rains I would say, mostly get my wofes Crosstrek through most of it, hut man, talk about the middle of nowhere. The Refuge abits a lot of land, and a lot of dashed roads in the Gazetteer. We almost made it to 114 on one, but towards the north end, a 3' trench had washed out, closing the road. It is a named road, Gaudette Road, allowing access to the Refuge from the north, but 90% of it is under massive power lines. Things are very different up there. Had we got to 114, Canada is literally a stones throw away. Next time I am going to gass up in Island Pond and take Henshaw Road in fron 105 just east of town. This will allow a straight route through, and some poking around as well. Oh, once I got almost to 114, my GPS froze. So I had to remember all my turns to get back to 105. Got every one right though.
