Default Leaf Peepin & Jeepin 10/20/13 - Trip Report

Thanks to everyone who came out!

We ended up with some great weather! There were 4 of us who made it to the top in the early morning, my girlfriend & I, Mr Bigshot and tmac. Temps were quite brisk at 8am but it was a nice way to wake up. Here are a couple shots of the view...

Even though it's not far from me at all I had never run those first two trails, or hiked that side of the mountain. Wish I stayed a little longer. Even after going to Hillsboro on the way home I still had an hour and a half to kill... The hike to the top was good and not as difficult as I expected which was kind of a good thing. My only pic from the day, from the top.

Like the others, I want to thank you for another fine job of leading the group, as well as spotting me through some of those more challenging moments.

Managed to get a few cell shots before it died.
Really wish I didn't leave my camera on the kitchen counter.

I'm glad you all enjoyed the day, the leaves were at the tail end but still some good orange and yellow. The short hike up to the lookout offered a nice view I thought, even got a handful of more people out just for that!

Glad I could help, that's a tricky spot but you did great! I think maybe the only carnage of the day, finding out a stubby bumper may be needed, at least the plastic ends match now :)

Here are the better videos i was able to take (hopefully i did the embedding properly .. I've got some pictures but need to upload those into photobucket and will post them soon
    http://youtu.be/dmbRBcv6QK0
    http://youtu.be/Cr5hApOwq0k
    http://youtu.be/QfGj5cvBiXA

i had to edit it and put the direct links since it would only allow me to embed 1 per post (i figured it would keep things more neat if they were all in a single post)
