It seems to be related to vertical vs horizontal cell phone angle, as Shawn suggested. This is a recent feature.

Can't find what Shawn suggested. Can you elaborate so I can try to figure this out? Are you uploading from a phone or computer or tablet? Are you using an iPhone a droid or another device? Any information you could provide would be helpful so I can start narrowing down what the actual problem is.

    Thanks,
    Paul (FSHJNKY)

Galaxy phone, but several people having same issue, as you mentioned. Shawn noted width vs height in this thread here. The ones I take with the phone held vertically, turn sideways.

    Thanks,
See my above post with the cars. I added a third, this time taking the second pic which is sideways and cropping it down so it is wider than it is tall. Same pic, different result

This is the same problem I have been having and have been told it is an iPhone issue so that is what I have been researching, but apparently that is not the case. I know if I edit the photo I can get them to upload properly, but that shouldn't be the case. I will figure it out. Thanks.

if you edit with paint and reduce the overall size it will stay vertical if thats how it was taken. It seems there is a maximum height pictures can have on the posts and if it's taller than that the forums turn it on its side. sorry if this was already figured out =-)
