Saturday -
Had a good run, minus the two (three?) rigs that broke stuff. And this was the easy run! I think if everyone was able to keep their 4 wheel drive working, we would've breezed right through this with no hang-ups. We ended up cutting two trails out of the middle of the run to buy us about an hour that we lost pulling one broken rig through a tricky section of trail. Met a bunch of abutting landowners on the trails and they didn't seem to mind our group. Hopefully everything is going OK for those that broke and lets hope for a good run tomorrow. I'll have a few pics up soon but my camera battery died about the same time as the first rig did.

I have been looking into buying a TIG welder. I have taken a few welding classes at college and have some aluminum welding i need to do for myself and some friends. I would love to sink the 6 grand and buy a miller dynasty but that just won't happen. I was curious to see what some members might recommend. 2 products that stood out to me after looking around for a while were the Eastwood tig welder & the Everlast 200DX Tig welder. Both are AC/DC welders but*I liked the price on the Eastwood a little more but the Ever last has a lot more options and has a pulse mode with is very nice when welding Aluminum and welding out of position.

Any one have any experience with either of these companies? IF not then what would someone recommend in the 800-1300 price range? i know there are AC/DC TIG welders out their in that price range, its just a matter of picking the right one.

Here is the link to the EastWood welder.

http://www.eastwood.com/tig-welders-...dc-welder.html

And the EverLast

http://www.everlastgenerators.com/Po...DX-351-pd.html

Let me know what you guys think. I'm not in a huge rush to buy but sooner the better. I have a hair line crack on the bell housing of my Tranny on my K5 build and would like to weld it up while the body is off rather then pulling the tranny later to do it. Thanks for looking.

im looking for a good, but in expensive 9mm JHP. yes i know there are great rounds out the for big $$$. just spent $18 to get 25 Hornady rounds for personal defense. but i am looking to bulk up on rounds. (maybe 5 or 6 hundred) and these rounds just cost to much to do that with. but at the same time, most of you know how little respect i have for the stopping power of a 9mm, so FMJ is out of the question. my brother bought 9 mm jhp Remington umc, and shot a 2x4 with them and said there was no expansion. i do have about 50 of them left to preform my own test. (something with more close to the characteristics of human flesh) to see how they expand. (thinking something like a ham wrapped in denim.) but if they fail that test to, i will be in need of suggestions for a good, in expensive JHP.
